The collection
Eleven ways to be opened. Each one is drawn and built by hand, from its first second to its last line.

Wood · paper · stamps
Letters Never Sent
Open the drawer, unfold the one tied for you
A wooden keepsake box on a desk. They draw the drawer open to folded letters and small stamps, take out the one tied for them with a ribbon and open its creases one by one; it is then read as a real letter, on ruled paper in pen, with your photographs as postage stamps.
A small world · dusk
Our Little World
Turn the world and all of it wakes
A planet small enough to turn with one finger. Each landmark that comes over the top wakes, and when the whole world has turned once it settles into the sky; your letter is read beneath it, and scrolling turns the world so each part's landmark stands at the top.
Lantern light · a forest path
A Light Kept For You
Light the lantern, walk the path home
A forest path at night and a lantern not yet lit. They strike a match, carry the flame to the wick and the light grows, finding what was in the dark; your letter is then read by walking the path, board by board, to a cabin with a hook by its door.
Glass · rain · a warm lamp
After the Rain
Wipe the glass clear and open the window
A window fogged at dusk, a warm lamp on the sill and the rain still running. They wipe the glass with a finger or touch the drops until it clears, turn the latch and open the window onto the light after the rain; your letter is read on panes of glass with your photographs taped to them.
Inside every gift
Whatever you put in, the world shows it the way it would show anything precious.
Your voice
Record up to four minutes. The song steps aside while you speak and comes back where it was.
Your films
Up to four short films, each framed by the world they play in.
Your photographs
Up to eight, with your crop and your captions, built up by the way they are read.
Your song
A YouTube or SoundCloud link, chosen from search, set to begin at the second you pick.
A reply, and a replay
They can answer in the same place, and open it all over again.
Made for a thumb
Staged upright for a phone, composed again for a wide screen, and calm for anyone who asks for less motion.
Why it feels like more
Made, not templated
No two worlds share a layout. Each has its own material, its own hand gesture, its own way of being read.
Made to be felt
It answers a touch: a lean, a tilt, a held breath. Sound and a short buzz arrive where a phone can give them.
Yours alone
Their name on the front, your date, your signature at the end. It cannot be mistaken for anyone else's.
